Kings Farm Dog Park – Terms of Use

Kings Farm Dog Park is a designated, pre-booked facility operated as a trading name of Kings Farm Shop. Use of the site and its amenities is conditional on full acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined below. These may be updated at any time without prior notice.

General Liability & Safety

All visitors and their dogs enter and use the field entirely at their own risk. Kings Farm Dog Park and Kings Farm Shop do not accept any responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to individuals, animals, or property while on the premises.

You are solely responsible for your dog(s), their behaviour, and any associated persons or vehicles brought to the field. Any damage, injury or accident caused by your dog or party members will be your full responsibility, and no liability will be attributed to Kings Farm Dog Park or its owners.

Dogs using the park must be covered by their own third-party (public liability) insurance, typically included in pet insurance policies.

Please be considerate to local residents—excessive noise, including barking or loud voices, must be avoided at all times.

The field is situated in a semi-rural area and may not be suitable for all dogs due to natural terrain, noise from local farms or wildlife, or the presence of livestock. You must assess the suitability of the field for your own dog(s).

Field Access & Usage Rules

Introductory Booking Requirement
All first-time users must complete an initial induction session before using the field.

Maximum Group Size
Bookings are limited to a maximum of two households, with no more than 2 vehicles and 6 dogs in total. No exceptions.

Restricted Breeds
We regret that at this time, Kings Farm Dog Park will not accept bookings with banned dog breeds.

Equipment Use

The equipment provided in the park is for DOGS ONLY. Children and adults are not permitted to use the equipment in any way. Anyone found to be using the equipment that does NOT have four legs, will be asked to leave the park and may not be able to rebook in the future. Any equipment found to be damaged as a result of adults or children using it will be invoiced for repair to the party responsible.

Booking Times & Punctuality

Sessions begin on the hour and last 50 minutes to allow a 10-minute buffer between users. Dogs must be back in your vehicle by the end of your session to allow for a prompt departure.

Please do not arrive more than 2–3 minutes before your scheduled time. If another user is still in the field, remain at the end of the drive until they have left and the gate is secured. Never enter the field while it is still in use by another party.

Late Arrival
Late arrival does not entitle you to extra time. All users must exit promptly to respect the next booking.

Parking & Entry Protocol

Drive directly into the gated field parking area and secure the gate behind you. Vehicles must not be parked on the drive, turning circle or entrance. Lock the gate with the padlock upon entry and again when leaving, even if the next user has arrived.

All dogs must stay inside your vehicle until the gate is fully shut and locked. Dogs must never be loose outside the enclosed field or left unattended.

Conduct & Field Etiquette

• All use of the field and any enrichment items is entirely at your own risk.
• Supervise dogs and children at all times.
• Dogs must not dig outside the designated digging area. Any holes must be filled in and reported before leaving.
• Only dogs may use the equipment. Children must not climb or play on dog structures.
• Avoid use of ball launchers or repetitive fetch games to reduce injury risk.
• Please clear up after your dog. Poo bags must be placed in the provided bin (no general waste or litter).
• Do not leave food, toys, or litter in the field.
• No smoking, grooming, or drone usage on site.

Session Sharing & Professional Use

The lead booker must be present throughout the session. If you are sharing your booking, ensure all participants are aware of and comply with our terms.

Canine professionals (trainers, behaviourists, walkers) are currently not permitted to book sessions with Kings Farm Dog Park.

Sessions must not be resold or transferred to third parties.

Dog Welfare & Health

Aversive equipment or training methods (e.g. shock collars, prong collars, choke chains) are strictly prohibited.

All dogs should be fully vaccinated (or titre tested) and regularly treated for fleas, ticks, and worms. Dogs must not attend the field if they’ve experienced illness, vomiting, diarrhoea, or kennel cough in the 48 hours prior to a session. Failure to report this may result in a permanent ban.

Security Measures

Do not share padlock codes with anyone. You must lock the gate behind you—even if someone is waiting outside. If you notice any breach or damage to the fencing, report it immediately.

Fence height is approximately 2 metres. You are responsible for assessing whether this is secure enough for your dog. Kings Farm Dog Park cannot be held liable if your dog escapes.

Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable.
• No refunds will be issued for missed sessions or no-shows.
• Changes made more than 24 hours in advance may be rescheduled without penalty.
• All cancelled bookings are subject to a £1.50 admin fee unless rescheduled.
• We reserve the right to cancel sessions at any time. If we do so, a full refund will be issued.

Acceptance of Terms

By using Kings Farm Dog Park, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions in full. Continued use of the site constitutes ongoing acceptance.
